About the course
Work with our experienced facilitators and want to improve staff capability and school processes to lift your students’ co-requisite achievement!
We can tailor the delivery of this PLD to meet your school's needs. Choose from:
- Auckland Based In-Person - Face-to-Face workshops and seminar series
- Distance and Available New Zealand-Wide - Online workshops and seminar series available to all schools through NZ.
Participating schools will gain:
◾ A clear understanding of the co-requisites
◾ A school-wide plan to lift achievement in the Literacy and Numeracy Co-Requisites
◾ Pedagogical shifts and teaching responses aligned to improved achievement in the Literacy and Numeracy Co-Requisites
◾ Ability to set-up or evaluate your school-wide Assessment system at Year 9 and 10 with rigour
◾ Support on how to use data at Years 9 and 10 to inform teaching and learning
◾ Linking assessment purpose to curriculum goals
◾ Guidance on communicating and engaging whānau and community, to harness their support for Co-Requisite success
◾ Smart tips and strategies to prepare students for Co-Requisite success
This priority is aligned with the Ministry of Education’s new Regionally-Allocated PLD priorities and the intent of the Minister to have a data-literate and evidence-based workforce.
Utilising the Ministry of Education's Regionally-Allocated PLD fund, this mahi is free to schools. We can work with you to help you write your application.
