Sharron Fabish

Kaiwhakaruruhau

Te Whānau-ā- Apanui, Ngāti Kahungunu ki te Wairoa

Sharron has facilitated professional learning and development in English and Māori-medium primary and secondary schools with leaders, teachers and whānau. She specialises in Te Reo Māori, culturally responsive and relational pedagogy as well as student learning and achievement, in particular for Māori learners. She brings to her facilitation the following skills and experience:

  • An extensive knowledge of effective teaching and learning programmes for Te Reo Māori utilising Te Aho Arataki Marau.
  • Successful implementation of culturally responsive and relational pedagogy through her involvement in Te Kotahitanga and other research and evidence based programmes.
  • Proven experience brokering productive relationships between schools and important stakeholders, like whānau and Boards of Trustees. 

Sharron is currently enrolled as a PhD candidate with the University of Auckland.
