Brenda Martin

Practice Partner

Brenda has been an educator for over 30 years, with over 22 of those years in senior leadership positions.  Her experience includes New Zealand and international schools, a start-up school and schools well established.  She has led both low and high socio-economic school communities and been a principal of a school in New Zealand and a founding principal in China.  Her curriculum experience spans the New Zealand curriculum, International Baccalaureate curriculum, American Common Core and British curriculum. 

 

As an internationally accredited coach Brenda continues to contribute to education, working across governance, leadership and teacher development. 

 

Brenda was delighted to join the Tui Tuia team as a Practice Partner in 2023.  She passionately believes that strong relationships, effective communication and collaborative inquiry can build respectful, inclusive learning environments that enable students to succeed. Brenda works collaboratively with principals, teachers and school communities, co-constructing professional learning and development focused on lifting professional teaching practice and enabling equitable outcomes for learners.
