What we will cover

Immersion Day 2024 aims to enhance language teachers' skills and competencies through immersive experiences and professional development. You'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a variety of language workshops led by our National Language Advisers and experienced facilitators.

Sessions are designed to deepen your understanding of languages, cultures and effective pedagogies through firsthand experience. As you immerse yourself in new languages, cultures, and teaching methodologies through hands-on activities and connect with fellow language educators in collaborative discussions throughout the day, you'll gain practical ideas, digital technologies, and/or resources. These will equip you with fresh teaching strategies and approaches to navigate the ever-evolving educational landscape and work smarter.

This year, we are offering Immersion Day for the following 12 languages:

  • Chinese
  • French
  • Gagana Sāmoa
  • Gagana Tokelau
  • German
