Dr. Lisa Watson

Lisa is an experienced teacher and professional development facilitator with a working knowledge of implementing key Ministry of Education strategies and policies for supporting Māori student achievement such as Ka Hikitia, Tātaiako, Hautū and Te Aho Arataki Marau (Te Reo Māori in English Medium Schools). 

She supports teachers and school leaders to explore culturally responsive teaching and learning strategies that enhance Māori student engagement and achievement. She also supports English medium schools to implement quality Te Reo Māori programmes.  

Lisa is currently completing her EdD with the University of Auckland with a research focus on academic resilience to support Māori student success as Māori.
