In this workshop based on the importance of shared borders and cultural exchanges between Germany and France, we will look at the beloved dish of Flammkuchen or tarte flambée/flammkeuche.

What we will cover

Teachers will:

  • Delve into the history and cultural significance of the dish.
  • Gain teaching strategies to make the idea of shared borders tangible for your students.
  • Foster global connections through cultural discussions.
  • Ignite their students' passion for languages, culture, and gastronomy.

This is the first in a series of workshops we hope to develop into a cross-curricular and international project. It is open to all language teachers interested in exploring the cultural and culinary aspects of the German-French border. Bon appétit! Guten Appetit!
