This workshop aims to connect participants with German history present in New Zealand through an interactive scavenger hunt focused on the Berlin Wall, taking place in the city centre of Christchurch.
About the course

9.00am - 12.30pm
Where:
Christchurch. Specific venue is TBC
Registration opens on 1 April 2024 and closes on 23 May 2024.
This workshop will be facilitated in English and German but please note in advance that all resources will be in German.
Participants will be able to:
- Learn more about the history of the Berlin Wall and the incredible story of how this is connected to Christchurch in an interactive and engaging way
- Delve into German history- 35years ago the wall “came down” in an peaceful act
- Learn how to set up an interactive scavenger hunt for their German lessons
- Discuss how these resources could be conveyed to the German language classroom
Participants will complete an interactive scavenger hunt in German in the city centre of Christchurch.
