Message from the Instructor

Hi there! I'm Chiko Smyth, and I host Japanese (Kiwi) cooking classes both in-person and online from my home in Parnell, Auckland. With my background in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony and a teaching license in Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging), I bring authentic Japanese cultural practices to every class. I also enjoy making traditional Japanese fermented foods at home.

Through these workshops, I hope you'll enjoy exploring Japanese food culture, and take this unique experience back to your own classes to enjoy with your students. Join me for a fun and flavorful journey into Japanese cuisine and culture. I can't wait to cook with you and share the beauty of Japan!
