What we will cover

Culture is reflected in both the language we use and the everyday objects that surround us. Objects, simple as they may seem, are often tapestries woven with cultural stories, whispering histories, and reflecting diverse beliefs.

In this interactive workshop, we embark on a fascinating journey beyond the surface, unearthing the hidden cultural narratives embedded within familiar items. We explore how culture is reflected in various aspects of society and delve into specific objects that can facilitate engaging classroom activities with our students.

Please note that the workshop on the 28th of February will be delivered in Spanish, so Spanish language teachers with a proficiency level of B1 or above are recommended to attend. The workshop on the 29th of February is a repeat and will be delivered in English with some examples in basic Spanish.
