Overview
Join our monthly 45-minute online session to engage in a casual conversation with other Japanese language teachers and with Chisato Yoshioka, our Japanese National Language Adviser.
About the course
When: Monthly at 4pm - 4.45pm
- December session: Thursday 5 December 2024
Registrations open on 8 November and close on 4 December 2024
Topic for December: Christmas (クリスマス),Year-End Parties (忘年会), New Year's Eve (大晦日), and more.

Online - Zoom link will be sent once registrations are accepted
These online sessions provide Japanese language teachers with the opportunity to immerse themselves in Japanese language and culture by discussing seasonal events and highlights. They offer a chance for teachers in different regions to meet and connect.
Topics change every month, featuring seasonal events and highlights of the month.
Participants will have the chance to share their own experiences in Japan and/or classroom activities related to the topic.
Throughout the session, teachers will:
1) Get new insights about Japanese language and culture
2) Get tips to make the most of your class
3) Get to know each other
At no cost for NZ registered teachers.
