Overview

Are you currently working with a language assistant from the International Language Assistant programme, or are you interested in learning more about it? This workshop is designed for teachers and HODs to gain the most up-to-date insights into the programme and its benefits. With the support of the latest research from the University of Auckland, we’ll explore how teachers can maximise the impact of language assistants in their classroom. Additionally, we’ll address practical aspects of working with language assistants, including the application process, understanding employment agreements, and coordinating with other schools they may be assigned to.
