What we will cover

Furoshiki, a traditional Japanese wrapping cloth, has evolved beyond its original purpose of gift wrapping.  It is often used as an eco-friendly alternative to disposable wrapping, and is a great opportunity to weave together tradition and sustainability.

In this workshop, you will learn about the brief history and tradition of the versatile Japanese wrapping cloth, and how to wrap items with Furoshiki. Also, you will be invited to discuss how it can be connected with Manaakitanga and Taonga and also incorporated into a cross-curricular activity.

You are most welcome to join us with your colleagues at schools. Please ensure that you colleagues sign up for the workshop using the registration link below.
