Overview

This online workshop is designed to provide participants with the tools and skills needed to create custom, contextualised dialogues for their students. Participants will learn how to use a Text-to-Speech application to generate dialogues and edit them using Audacity, a free audio editing programme.

Where: Online - Zoom link will be provided to registered participants

Registrations open on 3 February and close on 24 February 2025

What we will cover

Participants will be guided through the process of recording, customising, and converting dialogues into MP3 audio files, tailored to their students' language level and ready for use in listening comprehension activities.

 

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Create custom dialogues using chosen vocabulary, accents, and speech speed.
  • Edit and refine audio recordings using Audacity.
  • Convert recordings into MP3 files for use in listening comprehension activities.
