Overview

Have you participated in the Japanese Immersion Programme in Kansai before? Or are you simply curious to learn more about it? This online session offers a closer look at the 2024 Japanese Immersion Programme in Kansai. Whether you’re considering applying for this year or have already participated, it’s a great opportunity to learn about the programme’s structure and experiences, or reflect on your own and reconnect with shared memories. Participants from the 2024 programme will share their stories, reflections, and memorable moments. Join us online to learn more about the programme and gain useful ideas and inspiration for your own classrooms from their experiences.

When: 3:45 - 5:00pm, Wednesday 19 March 2025

Where: Online - Zoom link will be provided to registered participants before the workshop.  

Registrations open on 24 February and close on 17 March 2025

This workshop will be delivered in English and Japanese.

What we will cover

Chisato Yoshioka (Japanese National Language Adviser) will briefly introduce the Japanese Immersion Programme in Kansai, covering its structure and main features.

Six participants from the 2024 programme will each share their reflections, stories, and memorable moments.

The session will also include breakout rooms, providing an opportunity to ask questions, exchange ideas, and connect with other teachers in an interactive setting.

Tui Tuia | Learning Circle Languages is funded to provide professional learning for provisionally and fully registered Primary, Intermediate and Secondary teachers throughout Aotearoa New Zealand.
