Join us online with our German National Language Adviser to explore ways and ideas how to start a German club at your school.
About the course
Who: This workshop welcomes both current German language teachers and those who are not currently teaching German but are interested in establishing a German club at their school.
When: 3.30pm - 4.15pm, Thursday 11 April 2024
Where: Online - Zoom link will be sent to registered participants.
Registrations open on 25 March and close on 10 April 2024.
- How might a German club be organised at your school?
- How can a German club support your students on their journey to becoming global citizens?
- Introduction to ideas and activities that could be implemented, along with exploring some case studies.
Tui Tuia | Learning Circle - Languages, in partnership with the Goethe-Institut New Zealand, is providing an opportunity to learn more about how and why setting up a German club at your school can enrich your school environment.
We will discuss the organisation of a German club at your school, exploring various approaches and strategies.
Next, we'll delve into how a German club can contribute to your students' development as global citizens, discussing the ways in which cultural exchange and language learning can broaden their perspectives.
Finally, we'll introduce a range of ideas and activities that can be implemented in your German club.
Join us online to have the opportunity to network with fellow teachers who share your enthusiasm for German language and culture!
